Privacy, plainly written.
We try to keep our privacy policy in language a person can actually understand. If anything below is unclear, send us an email and we’ll either explain it or fix the wording.
Who we are
D3V Services Limited is a New Zealand company based in Christchurch (NZBN 9429048740517). We operate the website at d3v.nz. When this policy says “we”, “us” or “our”, that’s who we mean.
What we collect
We collect three categories of data:
- What you give us. When you contact us through the website, email, or our agent chat, we keep the message and any contact details you include (name, email, phone, company).
- What your browser tells us. Standard server logs, which include IP address, browser user-agent, the page you visited, and the page that referred you. We use these to debug problems and detect abuse.
- Analytics. We use a privacy-respecting analytics service to count visits and understand which pages get read. We don’t use Google Analytics or Facebook Pixel, and we don’t track you across other sites.
What we don’t collect
We don’t buy data, we don’t enrich your details from third-party data brokers, and we don’t use marketing cookies. The site sets a single first-party session cookie if you use the AI agent, which expires when you close the tab.
How we use what we collect
To reply to you, to keep the site running, and to improve our work. That’s it. We don’t send marketing emails unless you’ve specifically opted in, and we never sell or rent your contact details.
Where it lives
Our servers are hosted in Australia and New Zealand. The AI agent talks to ElevenLabs’ API; transcripts of those conversations are stored in our database, not theirs. Form submissions create tickets in Zendesk, which is based in the United States.
How long we keep it
Server logs: 30 days. Agent conversation transcripts: 12 months, then deleted. Contact emails and Zendesk tickets: 7 years (we’re required to keep business correspondence for tax purposes). You can ask us to delete sooner.
Your rights
Under New Zealand’s Privacy Act 2020 you can:
- Ask what personal information we hold about you.
- Ask us to correct it if it’s wrong.
- Ask us to delete it (subject to legal retention rules).
- Complain to the Office of the Privacy Commissioner if you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your data.
How to get in touch
Email privacy@d3v.nz. We aim to respond within 5 working days.
Changes to this policy
If we change anything material, we’ll update the “last updated” date at the top of this page and, where it’s reasonable to do so, notify clients with active engagements.
