A small studio
in Christchurch,
with a big toolbox.
D3V Services Limited started life in 2013 as Oxygen Digital. Today we’re seven full-stack developers shipping web apps, websites and AI tools for businesses in New Zealand and a handful further afield.
Founded
2013, as Oxygen Digital. Renamed D3V Services Ltd. in 2024.
Headcount
Seven. Five full-stack engineers, two WordPress and frontend specialists.
Ownership
New Zealand-owned and operated. D3V Services Limited, registered in Christchurch.
Three habits that turned into a studio.
Pick boring tech, on purpose.
Laravel, Livewire, Postgres, Tailwind, Cloudflare. We chose this stack a decade ago and keep choosing it because it’s still here, still fast, and still cheap to keep running.
Stay small, stay honest.
No middle management, no “solution architects” who don’t touch the code. Seven people total, which means you talk to the actual builder, every time.
Ship, then polish.
We get a working prototype on a real URL within two weeks of starting a project, then iterate weekly. Real systems beat Figma files every time.
Seven people you’ll actually meet.
Project lead, dev, designer, QA, support. That’s not separate people, it’s usually one or two of us, depending on the day.
Laravel and Livewire generalist with twelve years of muscle memory. Has shipped enough of these to spot the right path early, and is the most likely person on the team to send you an email at 11pm because they noticed something that would make your week easier.
The tools we’ve been refining since 2013.
We try things, but we don’t chase frameworks for the sake of it. If we’re using something on your project, it’s because we’ve been using it on others for a long time.
We work best with teams
who like their builder to push back.
If you want a yes-agency, we’re not it. If you want someone who’ll occasionally tell you the feature you’re asking for is the wrong feature, we’re probably your studio.
